SERVICES

ABOUT

Working together can take many forms but taking time to meet can help us determine what support might be right for you. I offer counselling services one on one in person or online.  I have offices both in Victoria and Duncan, BC.

Although I offer supportive services for many different challenges I do have specialized training in working with people who are working through persistent pain, chronic illness, traumatic brain injury, post concussion syndrome and working with people recovering from injury or accident.  To get more information check out the Special Interest section or read on to learn more about me.

I'm looking forward to connecting!

ABOUT ME

I am a queer social anarchist who loves to explore all the things that make us connected, powerful and different.  We can break it down and keep it real, talk it out, or make some art, and when shit hits the fan I want you to know that you don’t have to be in it alone.

That might be exploring your experiences, working through past hurt and trauma, unpacking challenging relationships, or simply carving out that time for yourself to be and check in.   My hope is that when you come in you will feel heard and understood, and that you have someone who can help you navigate life, that you know that you are not alone, and that together we can help you to find that place where you feel safe and connected again.

VALUES AND APPROACH

As a queer and gender fluid person who has diverse relationships, this is something that I hold close to my heart and know that at times it can be difficult to find understanding.  I aim to create a space where you know that you can lean into all the parts of yourself that in other areas of your life you might have to hold back.  This is important to me because I know that the world has not caught up to all of the amazing genderful and expressive ways of being there are and it is not always safe for us to be fully ourselves.  That is why this is a priority in my approach in working with people.

Given the misunderstanding and stigma around pain and emotional wellness that I have come across in my own personal life, as well as witnessed in my professional world, working in a trauma informed and response based way is at the heart of how I would like to show up with you.  I feel as though everyone has amazing ways of staying alive and keeping themselves safe when going through the world, and I know there can come a time where those protections do not feel that they are helping any more.  It is my hope that by creating connection and trust through working together that we can find ways of integrating traumatic experiences, reclaiming our sense of our self and tuning into our intuition.
